The Real Life Iron Man
Jamie Secker, General Manager at Briggs Defence, achieved not only a life-time goal but raised more than £4,100 in the process. Jamie took part in his first ever full distance triathlon (Ironman) in Tallin, Estonia, in August, which consisted of a 2.4-mile open water swim, 112-mile cycle and a 26.2-mile run.
The raised funds, which include a Briggs contribution of £2,000, is being donated to Piam Brown, a children’s cancer unit caring for children with all forms of cancer from birth to 16-years-old. The charity fund is part of Southampton Hospital Charity and all donations to the ward benefit the children in their care and their families.
